Hon. Makozo Chikote is Zambia’s Minister of Energy, appointed in July 2024. As Member of Parliament for Luampa since 2016, he has been a strong advocate for sustainable energy access and infrastructure development. In his ministerial role, he oversees national energy policy, power sector reform, and investment in renewable and storage solutions to strengthen Zambia’s grid and support industrial growth. With a background in public service and international relations, he is focused on advancing reliable, affordable, and clean energy systems to drive economic transformation.
