Chikuku Katebe

ZARENA
Chikuku Katebe is a Renewable Energy engineer from The University of Zambia with over four years of experience working across climate change, energy access, knowledge exchange programs and gender mainstreaming in Zambia. She currently serves as the Board Secretary of the Zambia Renewable Energy Association (ZARENA) and the Country Coordinator for the Global Renewables Centre (GRC), a program supported by the Scottish Government through the University of Strathclyde.
Eng. Chikuku is passionate about youth and women empowerment in sustainable energy. Her work focuses on knowledge exchange, capacity building, and community-driven solutions to support Zambia’s just energy transition. She has been involved in implementing training programs, organizing stakeholder engagement events, and supporting renewable energy adoption in rural and peri-urban areas.
With a background in science and a strong interest in STEM education, Chikuku is also committed to promoting inclusive participation in the renewable energy sector. She has represented Zambia in various international platforms and continues to build collaborative networks to scale impact.
