Billy Onyango is a seasoned energy professional with over a decade of experience across the power utility, oil & gas, and construction sectors. He currently serves at Kenya Power, where he plays a key role in grid operations and energy access initiatives. Billy has led innovative clean energy and storage projects, working with international development partners to scale solutions that balance commercial viability with community impact. He is a Certified Renewable Energy Consultant and an active voice in Africa’s energy transition, contributing to regional dialogues on distributed energy systems, productive use, and sustainable electrification.
