Simphiwe Jantjies is the Head of the Outside SADC Region, covering East, Central, and West Africa at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA).

Based in South Africa, he is a key figure in spearheading development initiatives across these regions. With a strong background in project development, credit risk and specialized finance, particularly in project finance and leveraged finance, gained from his previous roles, Simphiwe brings valuable expertise to his current position. His leadership is pivotal in advancing economic growth and sustainable development across Africa, aligning with DBSA’s mission to foster inclusive economic development on the continent.
