Prathaban Moodley

Professor Prathaban Moodley is an Executive at SANEDI and General Manager of the Applied Energy Research, Development and Innovation Division, which conducts research across electricity, gas, and liquid fuels. His work spans renewable energy, cleaner fossil fuels, mobility, smart grids, and digitalisation. With over 20 years’ experience in the energy and power sector, he is an internationally recognised expert, serving with the IEA, CSIR, and several university boards. A registered professional engineer, he holds BEng, MEng, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Wits University.
