Pat Naidoo

Research And Innovation Chair: Green Economy

Dr Naidoo is a Visiting Scholar in Mechanical Engineering Science and Professor of Practice in the Faculty of Engineering and the Built Environment at the University of Johannesburg. A Fellow of both the South African Academy of Engineers and the SA Institute of Electrical Engineers, he is a registered professional engineer and specialist consultant in power systems. With a four-decade career at Eskom, including as Senior General Manager of Transmission, Dr Naidoo has held numerous leadership and board roles across the SADC energy sector. His current focus includes sustainable development, the green economy, and the future of work in a post-industrial society.
