Grové Steyn

Grové is the Managing Director of Meridian Economics, an energy and infrastructure economics advisory firm based in Cape Town. With over 25 years’ experience in the electricity, gas, and liquid fuels sectors, he has held prominent roles, including appointments by President Cyril Ramaphosa to the Eskom Sustainability Task Team and the Presidential Economic Advisory Council.

Grové has worked extensively in energy policy, regulation, and infrastructure. His current focus is accelerating the just energy transition and establishing a large renewable energy programme to drive South Africa’s post-COVID-19 recovery. He holds a DPhil from Sussex and various degrees in engineering and economics.
